The One Liners #80

Happy Fourth of July. Today’s One Liners relate to the holiday.

Every day is Fourth of July at my house.
When I come home from the bar to the wife, I see fireworks every night.

Aaron Burr said to Alexander Hamilton,
“Wanna step outside and see my ‘Matt Dillon’ impression?”

On the Fourth of July, Paul Revere said,
“The British have left the building.”

It appears that Francis Scott Key was a one-hit wonder.

Betsy Ross was the first one to use the slogan, “I guarantee it.”

To appease Great Britain, George Washington named New England after them.

The initial name of the country was derived from the original founders. It was going to be called, “Indiana”.

The first residence of the president was actually named after him:
The White Head.

I’m ready to sing the Star Spangled Banner on the Fourth of July.
It’s a good thing that we have all those baseball games to practice at.

Sing it slow, Advice from Joe
